Quite surprising that there is no mention of the sound quality of this amp, because it is quite distinctive: really fast, tight and high resolution. There is no fat on the sound, so its not the amp for comfortable and relaxed listening and might get tiring after a while, but it is quite exhilarating for an inexpensive mass market amp and I would strongly recommend if that's what you want,

from many years using two Onkyos, i can tell, im am done with that brand. The first one died soon and was replaced under warranty. Now the warranty replacement that was a newer model is suffering also several random problems. I am done with that brand.

I just acquired one of these but intend to use it as just a stereo reciever. I WILL NOT be connecting it to the wire?ess network as that appears inpossible. You must understand that there are a bunch of us who despise the proprietary nature of Apple and have nothing to do with them. My equipment is all Android including my tablet which holds my 200 Gb music collection and does ALL of my internet radio. What surprised me was a total lack of Bluetooth connection which Apple is notoriously lousy at. Fortunately I have an exceptional Bose Bluetooth dongle which allows me to connect but am having to use the CD input for that. My dongle also uses TOSLINK which this reciever appears to have. Hopefully it will handle the audio only link okay. Now in 2024 devices are going internal and connecting via Bluetooth and not needing all these complicated settings getting in the way. I might connect the TERK FM antenna I have but the radio stations are junk in this city and I listen to internet radio on my tablet exclusively. Hopefully all this stuff doesn't get in the way of using this reciever 2-channel only like a stereo amplifier component.

Hi, I have this pioneer, and really satisfied. I play my Music, with all speakers conected. I choose 9.1 ch fh/ fw But when i choose ext stereo , in the sound options, the system dont use fh and fw speakers. in :exp theatre and rock pop modus, the sound is comming on FH speakers. In : drama , sci fi , adv game , and sport sits comming on fw speakers sound. In thest modus , all speakers work, and fw and fh is on , ofcourse, But i like the sound in ext stereo, but really wants the sounds on fw ore fh speakers also. Can you help me ? Regards peter

Well-done. A couple notes: There are some laptops that now have a matching circuit in their AC adapters which check to see if the AC adapter was made by the laptop OEM. If not, it will not charge. Yes, I know how stupid that is.
